Terms of Service
Last updated October 14, 2026
The short version: HandlePilot is a monthly subscription you can cancel anytime. Payments go through Polar, our merchant of record. What you upload and make stays yours. Please only upload what you have the right to use, and review what the AI writes before you publish it.
1. Who we are and what this covers
These terms are an agreement between you and HandlePilot (“HandlePilot”, “we”, “us”) for the use of handlepilot.com, app.handlepilot.com and everything they include (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you use HandlePilot for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
2. What HandlePilot does
HandlePilot is a workspace for running an Instagram account. It helps you study what performs in your niche, plan what to post, draft scripts and captions in your own writing style, lay out carousels from your own text and photos, and edit reels from footage you recorded. Some features use AI language and speech models. We keep improving the Service, so features may be added, changed or removed over time.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use HandlePilot.
- You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- Give us accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
- Accounts are personal. Don’t share your account or resell access to the Service.
4. Subscription and payment
- Price. HandlePilot is sold as a monthly subscription. The price, plus any applicable tax, is shown before you pay.
- Merchant of record. Purchases are processed by Polar Software, Inc. (“Polar”), which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Polar handles the payment, sales tax and VAT, receipts and invoices, and your purchase is also subject to Polar’s buyer terms.
- Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. Polar charges your payment method at the start of each period.
- Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page in the app or from Polar’s customer portal. You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
- Failed payments. If a renewal can’t be charged, access pauses until the payment method is updated.
- Price changes. If we change the price, we will tell existing subscribers by email at least 30 days before it applies to their next renewal.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
5. Your content
“Your content” means what you upload or create in HandlePilot: photos, videos, recordings, text, plans, scripts, carousels and reels.
- You own it. We claim no ownership of your content or of what HandlePilot produces for you.
- Permission to run the Service. You give us permission to store, process and display your content, and to send it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, only as needed to provide the Service to you. We don’t use your content to advertise, and we don’t sell it.
- Your responsibility. Only upload content you have the right to use. That includes music, footage and the likeness of anyone who appears in it.
6. AI features
Scripts, captions, plans, transcripts and editing suggestions are produced with the help of AI models, and they can be wrong, incomplete or similar to content others receive. Review everything before you publish it. You are responsible for what you post.
When HandlePilot talks about your “tone of voice”, it means your writing style: your vocabulary, rhythm and point of view. HandlePilot doesn’t use image, video or audio generation models, and it never clones or imitates anyone’s voice.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use HandlePilot to:
- break the law or anyone’s rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy and publicity rights;
- create or publish sexual content, content that exploits minors, harassment, hate, or content that promotes violence;
- impersonate anyone, create deepfakes or face swaps, or mislead people about who made something;
- send spam, run bulk or automated outreach, or manipulate engagement on Instagram or anywhere else;
- break Instagram’s or Meta’s terms;
- probe, overload, reverse engineer, scrape or interfere with the Service, or get around its limits or security.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
8. Instagram and other services
HandlePilot is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram or Meta. If you connect your Instagram account, you authorize HandlePilot to read its insights and, when you ask, to publish content to it. You can disconnect anytime. Your use of Instagram remains subject to Instagram’s terms, and changes Instagram makes can limit or break features that depend on it. Other services we rely on are listed in our Privacy Policy.
9. Availability
We work to keep HandlePilot running well, but we don’t guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. Keep your own copies of anything important; download what you make.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using HandlePilot and cancel your subscription at any time. To delete your account and its data, email support@handlepilot.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users or the Service at risk, or that we are required to close by law. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to download your content. Sections 5, 6, 11 and 12 continue to apply after your account ends.
11. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise any particular results, such as growth in followers, reach or sales.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, HandlePilot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for HandlePilot in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using HandlePilot after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, cancel before the change takes effect.
